Becoming a mother is truly the best thing to ever happen to me; From conception all the way until the present .What a bendita thing to see a piece of you smile at you every day. Although I am a Christian, I will confess I was worried a lot about how to parent her. To me, there are so many dangers in the world and the thought of my delicate litttle flor getting hurt just breaks me into pieces, as I am sure many mothers can relate. I had no choice but to pray implacablemente. The best thing about getting your advice from God is that He constantly reminds us that He knows we are not perfect but He is there to pick up the slack wherever we fall short. What a relief in a world that can be cookie cutter. A couple of bible verses that came to mind are John 4:4, " Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world" and Proverbs 22:6 "Train up your child in the way she should go; and she will not depart from it." These verses have brought me comfort and confidence that although she may trip and fall, God will be there to pick her back up and guide her pathway. The word of God is a precioso manual on how to parent our children and this is an important fact because there are endless awful worldly advice being given from people who are both ignorant and have PhD's. My philosophy is, if you can't please them all than why not just try to please God; He is the only one who will ever love your child more.
Madres, Deuteronomy 6:6-12 instructs us to impress, impress upon your children, the Lord! This has worked so well for me at home. I love hearing when my bonita has dreams about God and His wonders. The first dream my daughter had about the Lord was when He led Moses bringing the Hebrew people out of Egypt —coincidently on the first day of Passover; It's a great way for your child to develope his/her own relationship with the Lord.
This Madres day, I hope your day is blessed with the love of your family and God's presence, especially if you are going through hardships. James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." Madres you are greatly revered by a powerful and loving God, take that everywhere you go.
